FFLM Virtual SARC Best Practice Day 2024

We’re pleased to advise that our next Virtual SARC Best Practice Day will be taking place on Saturday 21 September 2024.

Learning Objectives

To update on core forensic skills and knowledge in sexual offences forensic work with emphasis on managing immediate aftercare in complex cases and the differential diagnosis in genital findings.
To discuss harmful sexual behaviours in schools and the psychological impact of sexual crimes, and gain insights on approaches to support recovery.
To better understand the SARC accreditation process and the progress made to date.

Target Audience:

Sexual offences examiners/forensic physicians, forensic nurse examiners, paediatricians, doctors and nurses working with adults and children who have experienced suspected sexual assault.
Psychologists, counsellors, advocacy teams, police officers, SARC managers and administrators involved in providing care, management and services for adults and children who have experienced sexual assault.

The sessions will be recorded – where speaker permission has been granted – and available to those who have signed up to the event.
