FFLM Virtual SARC Best Practice Day 2024

We’re pleased to advise that our next Virtual SARC Best Practice Day will be taking place on Saturday 21 September 2024.

Learning Objectives

  • To update on core forensic skills and knowledge in sexual offences forensic work with emphasis on managing immediate aftercare in complex cases and the differential diagnosis in genital findings.
  • To discuss harmful sexual behaviours in schools and the psychological impact of sexual crimes, and gain insights on approaches to support recovery.
  • To better understand the SARC accreditation process and the progress made to date.

Target Audience:

  • Sexual offences examiners/forensic physicians, forensic nurse examiners, paediatricians, doctors and nurses working with adults and children who have experienced suspected sexual assault.
  • Psychologists, counsellors, advocacy teams, police officers, SARC managers and administrators involved in providing care, management and services for adults and children who have experienced sexual assault.

The sessions will be recorded – where speaker permission has been granted – and available to those who have signed up to the event.
