Forensic Medical Officer (Northern Ireland)
To assist the Police Service of Northern Ireland’s efforts to develop and support professional 24/7 regionalised Custody Healthcare provision, we are seeking expressions-of-interest from forensic physicians with experience of delivery of custody healthcare within the UK.
Clinical support is required to address rota gaps, coverage of annual leave, etc, and to provide resilience within the Custody environment, as well as provide occasional investigative support to Police teams. Ultimately we require clinical support for our developing nurse-led service which currently provides healthcare to around 75% of our detainees.
Those interested will find a warm welcome from an experienced team and an opportunity to work across Northern Ireland in both rural and urban settings.
If you have membership or fellowship of the Faculty, a strong work ethic, current vetting, and have proven experience within police custody suites in the UK, we would like to hear from you.
At present we are gathering information as to the level of interest there would be as we modernise our healthcare model. We look forward to hearing from you, and hopefully, in the future, welcoming some of you to our team.
If you are interested in finding out more please contact Andrew or Sam at zJusticeHealthCare@psni.police.uk and send us your CV and typical levels of monthly availability.
