The St. Mary's Two-Module Course: FORENSIC AND MEDICAL EXAMINATION FOR RAPE AND SEXUAL ASSAULT

Established with Department of Health funding, the course is endorsed by the Faculty of Forensic and Legal Medicine (FFLM) and the Association of Chief Police Officers (ACPO). This course presents Doctors and Nurses who are new to or wishing to start conducting forensic examinations of rape and sexual assault complainants with the opportunity to obtain the necessary knowledge and skills. It includes the medical, psychological, social and legal aspects of rape and sexual assault and is designed to prepare doctors to take the forthcoming Diploma of Forensic and Clinical Aspects of Sexual Assault. All sessions are presented by expert practitioners in their fields.
