Lancashire SAFE Centre 2nd Annual Conference: Responding to Rape - Provision of Excellence Regardless of Age or Postcode

You are cordially invited to attend our 2nd Annual Conference in the delightful surroundings of the Old England Hotel in Bowness on Windermere, the heart of the Lake District. The conference takes place on Friday 7th November, 2008 and continues on the morning of Saturday 8th November, 2008. It is a joint event between both Lancashire and Cumbria Constabulary and the Lancashire SAFE (Sexual Assault Forensic Examination) Centre. Labour Minister Mr Vernon Coaker who is a Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Crime Reduction is a provisional Keynote Speaker and Mary Pillai, the National Lead on Specialist Forensic Work who reports on comparison between SARC/non-SARC provision will also be presenting. Honoured guests include the Chief Constable of Cumbria Mr Craig Mackey and Chief Constable of Lancashire Mr Steve Finnigan. Last year's audience included representatives from Police, Health, Education, Social Services, CPS and Voluntary Sector.
