Havens Paediatric Sexual Assault Examination and Aftercare Update Day

This course is designed for all paediatricians involved in the management and forensic examination of acute child victims of rape and sexual assault and Clinicians in other settings who may come into contact with victims e.g. GUM, family planning, general practice, paediatrics, accident and emergency. Objectives Attendees of this course will: Familiarise themselves with the latest guidelines, taking part in a workshop on using the guidelines in practice - demonstration from case studies using DVD recordings. Recognise what is important for the paediatrician on the crime scene investigation. Update themselves on the practice and guidelines for forensic examinations. Update themselves on photo documentation, storage and the use of intimate images in court. Recognise the challenges in dealing with adolescent cases. This course is accredited with 5 CPD credits from the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health.
