FFLM 11th Annual Conference - Visit to the Crumlin Road Gaol

The Crumlin Road Gaol dates back to 1845 and for 150 years was a fully operational prison. On the 31 March 1996 the Gaol slammed shut its doors and on the 19 November 2012 it was reopened to the public for guided tours.

On Thursday 04 May, join us on a tour of the Gaol - learn about the history of the site from when women and children were held within it’s walls through to the political segregation of republican and loyalist prisoners and learn about why the decision was taken to close the prison. After the tour, you will sit down to a four course meal (starter, main, dessert, tea/coffee) before being collected and taken back to the Hilton hotel. Tickets are £53.00 each and include:

  • A guided tour of the Gaol;
  • A four course meal (starter, main, dessert, tea/coffee);
  • Transport to and from the Hilton hotel Belfast - pick up at 18:30.
