Forensic Science Subcommittee (FSSC)

A vacancy has arisen for a member of the above subcommittee. The FSSC meets twice a year, in June and November, to review the evidence available in the field of forensic and legal medicine to ensure the best care of vulnerable patients in relation to the taking of all relevant forensic samples.

The following information may assist applicants in deciding whether they should apply:

Essential requirements:

• Must be a registered healthcare professional (nurse or paramedic) working in the UK;
• in good standing with their regulatory body;
• Currently working in General Forensic Medicine (GFM) and/or Sexual Offence Medicine (SOM);
• Fellow, Member, Licentiate or Affiliate of the FFLM.
