Responding to violence against women and children – the role of the NHS

The Faculty welcomes the report of the Taskforce (where the Faculty was represented by the President) which was published yesterday. Of note is the recommendation that the Faculty should set standards in forensic medicine (recommendation 21) which has been accepted in principle by the Government. Copies of the report, the Government interim response and the subgroup reports can be downloaded using the links below.

The Faculty will shortly be embarking on a consultation exercise on interim standards in clinical forensic medicine.
