Independent Advisory Panel on Deaths in Police Custody

The Independent Advisory Panel (IAP), part of the ‘Ministerial Council on Deaths in Custody’ launched a new website today.

The Faculty is well represented on the IAP; Professor Richard Shepherd chairs the Use of Restraint working group and Dr Peter Dean chairs the Risks relating to Transfer and Escorting of Detainees working group. The President also represents the Faculty on the Practitioner and Stakeholder working group.
